Indian Teenage Rape Victims Are Prohibited From School

A 12 year old Indian teenager raped barred from lessons at school. School officials also excommunicate him.

Site vancouverdesi.com reported on Monday (4/3), the teen from Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh state. He was banned from the school because they can pollute the atmosphere of the school.

"I want to go to school but the school banned," said the teenager.

Victim's parents that he was concerned with the education of her son and she wants principals do not forbid their children. "I do not want to dispute. I just want my child to be able to learn," said the victim's father.

Although not mentioned explicitly, Principal Yogendra Prasad admitted he banned the teen's school.

"I never said she can damage the atmosphere of the school. Due to a growing number of rape cases happen, this issue may affect other students," he said.

Prasad also said rape victims who were sent away from the school will be allowed to take the exam.

The teenager was raped for three days last month by a teenage boy. According to police woman's teenage friend might be involved in the rape.

Events reported rape almost every day in the Indian media. In December last year the 23-year student rape incident on a bus in the capital New Delhi sparked a wave of massive protests across India.
